Purkhauti Muktangan is a complex name, but it means an open place for historic properties. The site is often regarded as an open museum. The things inside it are not placed inside a building rather are placed in open space.

Raipur is the nearest railway station and about 26.5 Kilometers away from the place. As the site is located in Naya Raipur so regular buses, cabs are readily available.
There is also a particular timing for the opening and the closing of the place. Except for Monday, the place is open on all the days from 8 am to 6 pm. Below 12 years of age, the entry fee is around 2 rupees, and above 12 years old entry fee is about 5 rupees.
A massive wrought iron gate can be noticed at the entry point to the cultural village. Folk stories are printed with the walls is just an eye capturing view. At the entry gate, a large image can be seen and explains the lifestyle of local Chhattisghari people. Pictures with different dance postures tell about various tribal people of the area and each showing their uniqueness. Trees trunks with wood craving arts are just beautiful. A part of the park is mainly dedicated to tribal jewelry painted on the walls with big earrings and bangles dotted on the green grass. At Sona Bai, an award-winning national artist designed the murals in Chhattisgarhi village with vibrant colors and beautiful patterns. The windows decorated with a painting of birds or animals or a character of folktales. You will have an experience worth remembering while walking through the village replica.
To give the visitors the whole experience of Chhattisgarh, some of the replicas of various tourist places inside the state have been constructed beautifully. Lifesize models of Rudra Shiva of Tala, Bhoram Dev temple, and images of some freedom fighters of the country can be seen.
